Our customers can easily verify the jet alignment and the alignment stability of our products using a laser diffraction technique: 

Step 1: Use a He-Ne laser to generate a Fraunhofer- or Mie-diffraction pattern of the laminar part of the liquid micro jet. The diffraction pattern is orthogonoal to the liquid beam. Carefully document this diffraction pattern.

Step 2: Now lower the nozzle assembly until diffraction occurs on the quartz capillary itself. Compare the second diffraction pattern to the previous one to directly deduce the tilt angle of your liquid micro jet. This convenient, straight-forward method allows for a contact-free measurement of the tilt angle even in case of short liquid segments.
